Where should I stay? I don’t recognize any hotels in Belize?
Victoria House is a luxury resort located on the island of Ambergris Caye in Belize. The resort offers a wide range of accommodations, including suites, villas, and casitas, all with beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea or the resort’s lush tropical gardens. We stayed in a Palmetto room that featured a king sized bed and small porch with two comfortable lounge chairs facing the ocean.
There were adjoining rooms in the Palmetto rooms if someone had more than two guests, and we were in easy walking distance of the resort’s restaurant, bar, and the dock where we met our excursions. We enjoyed an incredible scuba diving adventure at the world-class reefs that are less than a five minute boat ride away on our first full day in Belize.
The highlight of the trip was a private snorkel and beach bbq trip with Allan and Bryan who captained our boat and showed us a wonderful time at Secret Beach where they cooked a delicious private meal, showed us the full island of San Pedro, and brought the most incredible variety of sea life up to see and swim alongside directly next to our boat! We also loved driving around the town in golf carts that are easily available for by-the-hour rental from the front desk. There are tons of fun restaurants and bars in town to experience the local flavor and kind people of San Pedro. We enjoyed Hidden Treasures Elvi’s. Make sure you have reservations as these finer restaurant are busy!
